The BIM Competence Center combines years of experience in consulting, implementing, and supporting BIM processes with the personal expertise of a strong team. Through collaboration with partners from engineering firms, public administration and construction companies, we can draw on extensive specialist knowledge. As a certified Platinum Reseller of the Thinkproject solution VDC Manager, known as DESITE BIM, we can harness this expertise to develop a customised digitalisation strategy for your company.

In addition to individual consultations and our training programs, we also offer on-site consulting. As part of our project support, we can assist you in every planning phase and in every area of activity. BIM Certified

Since 2021, we have been officially certified by BIMSWARM. card_1 was the first certified product on the platform in the "CAD-BIM Modeling of Transportation Routes" category. This independent certification confirms that card_1 meets all the requirements for BIM-compliant transportation route Modeling. Furthermore, in 2025, card_1 passed both BIM Fit Checks conducted by buildingSMART Germany e.V. for the use cases "BIM and Georeferencing" and “Alignment Exchange.”

Example Projects

Numerous BIM projects have already been implemented using card_1 and DESITE BIM/the VDC Manager, a selection of which are presented here.

Calculating complex intersections and checking the clearance of the road under a railway line - these were the challenges for BIT Ingenieure AG in a 2019 traffic route project. The card_1 Bridge Generator was used then the data was evaluated and checked via DESITE BIM.
The company Deutsche Einheit Fernstraßenplanungs- und -bau GmbH DEGES commissioned the Schüßler-Plan/VIC consortium with planning the rehabilitation of the A 111 motorway using BIM as the mandatory planning method.
In a BMVI pilot project directed by DEGES, the preliminary planning phase of a 14.0 km long section of the B87 between Eilenburg and Mockrehna is being examined using BIM. The engineering company Schüßler-Plan is contributing directly to the testing and development of the BIM method in this pilot project.
In the south-east of Saxony, the B 178n is being built as a high-throughput connection between the A4 motorway near Weißenberg and the 3-country triangle (D/PL/CZ) in near Zittau. In Section 1.1, the federal highway is to have a three-lane cross-section over a length of 5.3km. The engineering office EIBS completed the draft planning for the traffic systems using the BIM method.
