The program includes presentations, workshops and case studies on the current version, as well as a look back at 40 years of card_1. Partner companies will be at info-booths to present their software solutions – a kind of mini-trade fair. Tours of the Dresden Transport Museum, the Danish Pavilion in Hanover, the DB Museum in Nuremberg and the Road Museum in Germersheim will nicely round off the technical part of the day, which will conclude with a festive culinary get-together.
The infraTage event will focus on the topics of railway planning, railway surveying, road design, water management, and AI in construction. Current developments from IB&T partners will also be presented, such as the VDV Manager, formerly known as DESITE BIM, the BIM extension COLNEO, and the SPBIM4Desite application from the engineering firm Schüßler-Plan Digital GmbH. Representatives from the partners aRES Datensysteme, AllTerra Deutschland GmbH, Thinkproject GmbH, and buildingSMART Deutschland e.V. will be available for discussions at the mini-exhibition.
The card_1 success story began in 1985 with the software's initial presentation at the 69th German Geodesy Conference in Düsseldorf. Today, the BIM-compliant solution is considered the industry leader in the field of transportation infrastructure construction. IB&T Managing Directors Uwe Hüttner and Bernhard Braun are particularly proud of the solution's smart core, the smart-infra-modeling technology on which the current card_1 version 10 is based. This technology is a new design method that reduces time and effort by at least 50 percent through automated BIM and CAD generation. "And this is precisely where our card_1 customers are ideally positioned for the future," says IB&T Managing Director Uwe Hüttner. In 2024, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) recognized this ground-breaking development as innovative and worthy of funding.
