Further Installations
The following software can be installed during the regular installation as well as separately afterwards. Please select 'Further Installations' from the main menu of the card_1 installation program.
Installing/Checking Firebird
The card_1 system manages the card_1 project data in a database system. By default, card_1 version 10.1 requires Firebird version 4.0.2. The installation of the database system is automatically launched during the installation of the card_1 system.
Please use this installation to install the Firebird database system. It can also be used to check an already existing Firebird database system.
One of the following messages is displayed should the Firebird database system of version 4.0.2 not be installed/configured correctly on your workstation.
Version 4.0.2 of the Firebird database system is not installed on your workstation.

NOTE The installation of Firebird is carried out in 'Silent Mode'. In this mode, the installation runs without any interaction at the user interface.
Version 4.0.2 of the Firebird database system is not installed on your workstation. However, running services of other versions of the Firebird database system have been detected. These services must be shut down before continuing with the installation.

Installing card_1 Backup
card_1 Backup is automatically installed and configured in your card_1 program folder as part of the regular card_1 System. You can install this software independently of the regular card_1 installation. Thus it is possible to install card_1 Backup in a different location, e. g. on the server.
WARNING If you install card_1 Backup to a location other than the card_1 program folder, card_1 Backup will not be updated via Freshup.
Methodology

Afterwards, select Install card_1 Backup (Backup Projects).

Please enter the path to card_1 Backup, i.e. the folder where the backup program is installed.

Please enter the path to the project compilation folder. This is the folder of which card_1 Backup makes project backup copies.

Please enter the path to the folder where your card_1 projects should be stored.
- Please enter the name of the folder in which the shortcut to card_1 Backup will be created.
- Please confirm the entry – the successful installation of the card_1 system will be completed with a message. Please note that this message might provide important information on the card_1 installation.
