System Requirements

Please ensure that your workstation meets the minimum system requirements before installing card_1. The following overview lists the relevant hardware and software requirements.

Operating System	Microsoft Windows 10 or newer, 64 bit
Server Operating System (for network installation)	General: Use server operating system (not a client operating system) Operating system: Minimum: Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 64-Bit Recommended: Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or newer, 64-Bit Server connection: Minimum: 1 GBit Recommended: 10 GBit or higher NOTE We don not recommend running card_1 in a terminal server solution due to performance issues and a partially limited colour depth setting. However, in principle this is possible and in productive use by clients. Currently, we do not actively support this mode of operation as we are unable to store these configurations in our premises and consequently have little experience herewith. We will be glad to provide sample configurations.
Processor	Minimum: Current Intel or AMD processors 2.0 GHz or higher Recommended: Current Intel or AMD processors Quad Core 2.8 GHz or higher The frequency of the processor has a greater influence on the performance of card_1 than the number of processor cores.
RAM	Minimum: 8 GByte Recommended: 32 GByte or higher
Hard Disk Space	Minimum: 500 GByte Recommended: >500 GByte SSD hard disk
Graphics Card	Minimum: Graphics card, such as: Nvidia GeForce 700 Series / Nvidia Quadro cards with Maxwell architecture AMD Radeon RX200 Series / AMD Firepro Workstation Series OpenGL version 3.3 (minimum) is required for using 3D Project View and Driving Simulation.
Screen	Minimum: 1280 x 1024 / 17 inches Recommended: 1920 x 1080 / 21 inches
Database System	Firebird 4.0.2 (default). Click here to obtain further information. Microsoft SQL Server 2014 or newer. WARNING The database system Microsoft SQL Server 2014 is not part of the installation package. You also have to configure both card_1 Version 10.1 as well as your SQL server once this installation is complete. We therefore recommend contacting our support.

External components to extend the standard features	Federal State Transformations, DB_REF Transformations 64 bit Microsoft Office drivers to access ODBC data sources (CardScript).
Virtual Reality	card_1 Virtual Reality is compatible with any customary VR glasses which support SteamVR. However, the VR glasses' system requirements must be observed. For example, Microsoft has stopped further development of Windows Mixed Reality in December 2023. Further development of card_1 will be verified using Oculus Rift S and HP Reverb G2.
Graphic Fieldbook	The following instruments are supported for using the Graphic Fieldbook: Trimble: Total stations of the S series and GNSS receivers of the R series. Trimble instruments can be connected using Trimble Precision SDK (version 2022). Click here to obtain further information. Leica: Total stations of the series MS50/MS60, Viva TS15/TS16 and FlexLine.
