Arcadis Mobility Germany GmbH, SIGNON Deutschland GmbH, and IB&T Software GmbH are collabo-rating on a technical level to implement joint projects in the field of digital planning for the railways and transport sector. The goal is a comprehensive BIM-compliant system that delivers both technically reliable and economically sound planning results.
The collaboration focuses on the companies' three software solutions: ProSig®, SIGNON OLAcad, and card_1. By coordinating the technical interfaces between the products, users will be able to digitally plan more efficiently across trades and industry sectors. The companies will continue to operate independently in their respective fields and offer their software products and services separately. "Our goal is to develop a digital workflow that leverages the strengths and synergies of the individual software systems," says Volker Uminski, Head of Software Development at Arcadis Mobility Germany GmbH. This will create optimised process support for integrated railways and transport projects. Holger Rosenberger, Managing Director of SIGNON Deutschland GmbH, sees further opportunities offered by the cooperation: “The development of new technical applications is another area we are pursuing through this collaboration.”
These steps create a BIM-compliant workflow for railway design that optimally combines and integrates all three software solutions. "Our companies possess many years of specialist technical expertise in railway routing, signalling, safety engineering, and catenary design. By pooling this know-how, we are creating added value for everyone involved in the planning process within the railways and transport sector. The use of these three software products can thus offer a more professional solution for seamless digital design," summarises IB&T Managing Director Uwe Hüttner.
