The first stage of interactive editing of railway cross-sections according to the Ril 800.0130 Directive is available. No programming knowledge is needed to generate formations, clearance gauges and platform edges flexibly and easily.

An embankment according to the German Railways 800.0130 Directive «Cross-sections on Embankments» is the starting point. A standard section and any number of further sections can be assigned the route parameters for the superstructure, the formation level and the drainage. The calculation tool compiles this data via easy-to-use dialogs, checks the clearances and decides between a single or double track section.

The evaluation process can be either strictly user-defined or fully automated. In the latter case the drainage systems of the formation level will automatically be placed on the inner side of curves for single track routes.

Clearance Gauges

The clearance gauges also follow the Ril 800.0130 Directive. Calculating the envelope can be done for the gauges «GC» and «S-Bahn» with and without catenaries. This envelope takes any details in the lower section as well as special demands in transition curves and tight curves into account.

Calculating platforms is based on the 813.0201 Directive «Planning Passenger Stations / Constructing and Rating Platforms». The platform edge is exactly determined based on the vertical alignment, the cant and the track curve radius.  Once created, all objects are immediately visualised and updated in all views. Naturally, all functions support the undo feature, so undoing one or multiple editing steps is no problem at all.

We will be delighted to present the new features to you at the InnoTrans trade fair in Berlin. Perhaps you will even be the lucky winner of a model railway starter kit.
