The use of template files (prototype drawings) is new: your options are now practically unlimited when exporting data. You define each layer and block, among other settings, in the template file. When exporting drawings from CARD/1 in the DXF/DWG format, all the settings found in the template file are used. This results in a DXF or DWG file containing a CARD/1 drawing with the template file's structure.
If you need to pass data to a third party who expects to find predetermined structures in the DXF or DWG files, simply use a template file that you often receive from your customer as a sample. Such templates will help you to successfully integrate your planning into a predefined context. You can therefore always present your client with DXF or DWG drawings that include the preset structures and any information is transferred without loss.
The DXF, DWG and DWF formats have now established themselves as the de-facto standard for data exchange between CAD systems. The same can be said for in-company data exchange between departments, divisions and software products in many organisations. So now you can integrate CARD/1 even further into the company-wide exchange of data.
