A streamlined project manager and the smart data display switch feature via the context menu are just two examples of how Version 8.3 guarantees an even smoother workflow. The new and even faster CardScript interpreter with advanced checking features makes it very easy to develop and run your own scripts. Sharing the same interpreter, the CARD/1 cross-section designer also benefits from these improvements.
CARD/1 Version 8.3 can process even more data in even less time. It is now possible to manage multiple point clouds each containing up to a billion points - without having to forego speedy display in the graphics.
Impressive: CARD/1 Version 8.3 provides additional technically sound tools to create and edit digital terrain models. You can now reference line elements when fixing errors in a digital terrain model. If you want to quickly check the switches used in a project you can select the new switch sketch feature of Version 8.3.
Version 8.3 now uses the 2008 versions of the calculation cores FLUT and DYNA to run hydraulic and hydrodynamic sewer network calculations. This means more speed and a more sophisticated way of defining the surface and network parameters for dynamic calculations.
A new and powerful feature of Version 8.3 is the interactive graphic sewer profile designer. You can now design gradients and invert depths with just a few mouse clicks, either reach-wise, section-wise or sewer-wise. You can access either DTMs, vertical alignments or any other invert depths during the design phase.
It is now possible to output point clouds and structures to any drawing, e.g. base maps, alignments, profiles or cross-sections; thus adding more details and valuable information. Here you can also take advantage of the new layer structures in profile and cross-section drawings.
Based on your requests we have systematically created and added many more CardScript classes and methods: the classes for any topographic data and for switches are entirely new. But we have also added further methods and commands to access the project data more easily.
There is no need for additional training when starting with Version 8.3: just continue with your work.
